Ernie – Executive Director

Ernie is a twenty-one year old student at UW Madison, majoring in Community and Organizational Development. He founded Discovering Freedom out of an abundance of care for his family, state, and freedom. He grew up in Cross Plains, Wisconsin where he fell in love with fishing, camping, hiking, and playing with his brother and their dogs. His passion for helping people and making change, led him to confront one of the current issues of our society; the social divides that separate neighbors and families. Ernie’s grandfather grew up on a farm, fought in WWII, was a proud member of the local Lions Club, and raised his family to care about each other and their community. Ernie strives to make Discovering Freedom the kind of organization that his grandfather would appreciate and find value in.
